New Poet Laureate
On July 1, 2010, the Library of Congress announced the name of the new Poet Laureate. W.S. Merwin is the 17th recipient of the title and will serve from 2010 to 2011. Many books of his poetry are available through the library catalog:

Wisconsin, also known as "America's Dairyland," is the source of some of the best cheeses in the country. The Door County Library has a number of books on the history and background of Wisconsin's cheese production, along with a number of cheese and dairy cookbooks.

Best Breakfast in the Country
The talk of Door County this week was the Best Breakfast Challenge on ABC's Good Morning America program. One of the four finalist was Door County's White Gull Inn in Fish Creek.Door County Style Magazine
Everybody's talking about Food, Inc.
At the recent Sustainability Fair at Crossroads in Sturgeon Bay, a number of people who stopped by the Door County Library table asked about the award-winning film, Food, Inc. This film seems to have really caught the public's eye.
